I must also add that moms, as it is, are incredibly hardworking, multitaskers, magic maker freaks of nature… However, because of the daily stress, responsibly, and overwhelm that comes along with motherhood, we often feel stuck and needing, well… help!

1. Wake up Early
There is no better way to start a productive day than to wake up early.
Have you heard of the saying, “the early bird takes the worn?”
Well, that is because with an early rise you can accomplish twice as much.
When you wake up before the kiddos you have a chance to tackle tasks without the chaos.
Whether it be sipping your coffee while reading a book, answering emails, or making school lunches… an early rise gives you a head start to your day.
Besides, science proves it again and again.
People who wake up earlier are not only more productive but are overall happier and healthier.
A study conducted by Dr. Joerg Huber of Roehampton University, found that “Morning people tend to be healthier and happier as well as having lower body mass indexes.”
2. Implements Routines
A productive mom always has a system in place.
Routines call for order, productivity, and time efficiency.
In addition to benefiting busy moms, routines grant children consistency and balance. In turn, helping children feel less anxious and edgy.

Task priorities look a little different to everyone depending on multiple factors. But, a rule of thumb that helps with productivity is to prioritize you tasks by their length and difficulty.
For instance, a daily task that might take you an hour to complete will ideally have be done earlier in the day.
If you prioritize your most time-consuming tasks first, you can get it out of the way sooner and you will likely have the most energy for later obligations. In turn, leaving you the rest of the day to complete the smaller ones.

It isn’t a secret that exercise is essential for physical health. But what a lot of people don’t take into consideration is the incredible influence that it has on the mental and emotional state of being.
Moms that exercise are more energetic and motivated.
No need to be a weight lifter or a marathon runner. Mild to moderate exercise can also trigger similar effects… more energy, a sense of happiness, and accomplishment.
All in all, when you exercise, you are also increasing blood flow to the brain, which can help you be more alert, sharpen your awareness, focus, and productivity.
6. Chooses her Battles
Productive moms know the difference between the battles that are worth fighting and those she needs to leave alone.
She knows how to pick her battles by appointing task to those things she considers important versus those that don’t contribute to the bigger picture.
When I was a mom of one child I was overly concern and edgy… about mostly everything!
But when my second child came around, I learned to choose my battles for the sake of productivity and well… my sanity.
7. Knows her Limits
Much like the CEO of a company, a mom is the is the CEO of her home.
We oversee everything under the sun and are expected to do so flawlessly.
However, during the mayhem, we fail to remember that we aren’t robots and if behave as such, it is only a matter of time before we combust.
Therefore, productive moms know the difference between “societal expectations” and her own limitations.
She knows when to ask for help, when to slow down, and when to take a break.

8. Says “no”
I think we are all guilty at pleasing our family and making sure everyone is happy and satisfied… all the time!
However, if we aren’t careful, we can zap our productivity by giving into other things that don’t contribute to our overall goals, simply because we “feel bad” to say no.
Saying “no” from time to time isn’t a bad thing, in fact, it increases productivity, sets limits, and allows you to regain control.

Much like exercise, self-care makes you unwind and destress.
You are more likely to get much more accomplished and be more productive if you are well rested and content.
10. Looks at the bigger picture
Finally, productive moms focus on the bigger picture.
In other words, it isn’t about a pile of dirty laundry waiting to be washed or a stack of dirty dishes waiting to be cleaned.
Instead, they focus on how blessed they are to have clothes to wear and food to put on those same plates she has yet to wash.
She uses that same awareness and gratitude to fuel her motivation and help her be more productive during her day.
